FAQs

It implies a royal-ritual act—abhyarcya (“duly honoring/consecrating”) Laṅkā—before transferring authority/resources, reflecting a dharmic model of state transition accompanied by rites.

Alongside technical disciplines, the Agni Purana preserves Itihāsa-style summaries that encode applied dharma—how warfare concludes, how allies are honored, and how sovereignty is ritually legitimized (statecraft + ritual + narrative).

Honoring righteous participants and concluding conflict with proper consecration and lawful transfer of power is presented as dharmically purifying; the mention of going to heaven underscores merit accruing from righteous participation and divine approval.
