Dharma is enacted through correct procedure: even joyful, desired outcomes are to be pursued ‘vidhivat’, emphasizing restraint and legitimacy over mere passion.
Vamśānucarita: the rite marks a dynastic turning point (marriage), often preceding progeny and lineage continuation.
Pāṇigrahaṇa signifies lawful commitment and social order; the king’s praharṣa (joy) is harmonized with vidhi (rule), pairing emotion with dharmic structure.
