Paingala Upanishad 4 — Verse 4

इन्द्रियाणि हयानाहुर्विषयांस्तेषु गोचरान्। जङ्गमानि विमानानि हृदयानि मनीषिणः॥४॥

इन्द्रियाणि । हयान् । आहुः । विषयान् । तेषु । गोचरान् । जङ्गमानि । विमानानि । हृदयानि । मनीषिणः ॥

indriyāṇi hayān āhur viṣayāṁs teṣu gocarān | jaṅgamāni vimānāni hṛdayāni manīṣiṇaḥ ||4||

حواس کو وہ گھوڑے کہتے ہیں، اور موضوعاتِ حِس اُن کی چراگاہیں اور میدانِ سیر ہیں۔ دانا کہتے ہیں کہ دل چلتے ہوئے وِمانوں (فضائی رتھوں) کی مانند ہیں۔

The senses, they say, are horses; the objects (of sense) are their ranges of movement. The wise (also say) that the hearts are moving aerial cars (vimānas).
