Sanskrit recitationAvadhuta Upanishad 10

āpūryamāṇam acalapratiṣṭhaṃ samudram āpaḥ praviśanti yadvat | tadvat kāmā yaṃ praviśanti sarve sa śāntim āpnoti na kāmakāmī ||10||

As waters enter the ocean, which is being filled yet remains unmoving in its foundation, so all desires enter him; he attains peace—not the one who desires desires.

Śānti through desirelessness (akāmatā); fullness (pūrṇatā) of the SelfMahavakya: Echoes the realization implied by ‘ayam ātmā brahma’: the Self is full and unmoved; desires may appear but do not compel.AtharvaChandas: Triṣṭubh-like (matches Bhagavad Gītā 2.70 meter/style)
