sa svayaṃbhūḥ sthitastatra prabhāse bhūtido bhavaḥ | bhavatīdaṃ jagadyasmāttasmādbhava iti smṛtaḥ
Īśvara (Śiva)
Tirtha: Prabhāsa (Vastrāpatha context)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Mahādevī (Pārvatī)
Scene: A self-manifest Śiva-liṅga emerging from earth/rock at Prabhāsa, surrounded by a radiant aura; devotees receive ‘bhūti’ (vibhūti/ash and auspiciousness) as a blessing; cosmic imagery hints that the world arises from him.
The tīrtha’s greatness is tied to Śiva’s self-manifest presence and to his role as the source through whom the world ‘becomes’ (bhavati).
Prabhāsa—specifically the Vastrāpatha sacred complex where Bhava is said to abide.
No explicit ritual is given; the verse provides a name-etymology and site-theology (svayaṃbhū presence).
