Narrator (reporting the assembly’s assent and the declared condition of choice)
Tirtha: Vastrāpatha-kṣetra
Type: kshetra
Scene: A grand assembly of devas, dānavas, daityas, gandharvas, nāgas, and rākṣasas in a sacred precinct; Hari stands centered as impartial judge while the parties assent to his decision about the desired husband.
Dharma is upheld when all accept an impartial authority and honor free, truthful choice without coercion.
Vastrāpathakṣetra in the Prabhāsa Khaṇḍa, whose Māhātmya sanctifies the locale by connecting it to cosmic dhārmic events.
The svayaṃvara rule is affirmed: the bride’s chosen spouse is to be accepted as rightful by all parties.
