एवं कृते द्विज श्रेष्ठाः कृतकृत्यो भवेन्नरः । पितॄणामक्षया तृप्तिर्गयाश्राद्धेन वै यथा

evaṃ kṛte dvija śreṣṭhāḥ kṛtakṛtyo bhavennaraḥ | pitṝṇāmakṣayā tṛptirgayāśrāddhena vai yathā

یوں کرنے سے، اے بہترین دو بار جنم والو، انسان کِرتکِرتیہ (فرض پورا کرنے والا) ہو جاتا ہے؛ اور پِتروں کو نہ ختم ہونے والی تسکین ملتی ہے—جیسے گیا میں کیے گئے مشہور شرادھ سے۔
