तत्सर्वं श्रोतुमिच्छामो याथातथ्येन कथ्यताम् । न ह्यन्यो विद्यते लोके त्वद्विना वदतां वरः । तस्मात्कथ भो विप्र सर्वं शुश्रूषतां हि नः
tatsarvaṃ śrotumicchāmo yāthātathyena kathyatām | na hyanyo vidyate loke tvadvinā vadatāṃ varaḥ | tasmātkatha bho vipra sarvaṃ śuśrūṣatāṃ hi naḥ
ہم یہ سب کچھ سننا چاہتے ہیں؛ جیسا واقع ہوا تھا ویسا ہی بیان کیجیے۔ کیونکہ اس دنیا میں آپ کے سوا کوئی اور نہیں جو بیان کرنے والوں میں سب سے بہتر ہو۔ لہٰذا اے برہمن، سب کچھ کہہ سنائیے—ہم سننے کے مشتاق ہیں۔
