एवं संयुध्यमानौ तौ जघ्नतुश्चेतरेतरम् । द्वंद्वयुद्धं सुतुमुलं तयोर्जातं महात्मनोः
evaṃ saṃyudhyamānau tau jaghnatuścetaretaram | dvaṃdvayuddhaṃ sutumulaṃ tayorjātaṃ mahātmanoḥ
یوں لڑتے ہوئے دونوں نے ایک دوسرے پر بار بار ضربیں لگائیں؛ اُن دو عظیم جانوں کے درمیان نہایت ہولناک اور پرشور دو بدو جنگ چھڑ گئی۔
