सोमेन सह राहुश्च युद्धं चक्रे सुदारुणम् । राहुणा चन्द्रदेहोत्थममृतं भक्षितं तदा । संपर्कादमृस्यैव यथा राहुस्तथाऽभवत्

somena saha rāhuśca yuddhaṃ cakre sudāruṇam | rāhuṇā candradehotthamamṛtaṃ bhakṣitaṃ tadā | saṃparkādamṛsyaiva yathā rāhustathā'bhavat

راہو نے سوم (چندرما) کے ساتھ نہایت ہولناک جنگ کی۔ اسی وقت راہو نے چاند کے جسم ہی سے اُٹھا ہوا اَمرت نگل لیا؛ اور اَمرت کے اس تماس سے راہو ویسا ہی بن گیا جیسا وہ آج ہے۔
