द्वंद्वयुद्धं सुतुमुलं देवानां दानवैः सह । संप्रवृत्तं पुनश्चैव परस्परजिगीषया

dvaṃdvayuddhaṃ sutumulaṃ devānāṃ dānavaiḥ saha | saṃpravṛttaṃ punaścaiva parasparajigīṣayā

دیوتاؤں اور دانَووں کے درمیان ایک نہایت ہولناک اور ہنگامہ خیز دو بدو جنگ پھر سے چھڑ گئی، دونوں ایک دوسرے کو مغلوب کرنے کے خواہاں تھے۔
