Rudra (Śiva) (contextual)
Tirtha: Śivaloka / Śiva-dhāma
Type: kshetra
Listener: Sanatkumāra
Scene: After Vaikuṇṭha-like radiance fades, the devotee ascends to Śivaloka: Kailāsa-like crystalline peaks, Rudra/Śiva in yogic majesty, crescent moon, Gaṅgā in hair, surrounded by gaṇas; the devotee dissolves into Śiva’s light, symbolizing sāyujya and end of rebirth.
Merit culminates not merely in heaven but in Śiva-union (sāyujya) and freedom from rebirth.
No earthly tīrtha is specified; the verse glorifies Śivaloka and Śiva-sāyujya as the supreme destination.
The broader passage prescribes Tripuṇḍra/bhasma devotion; here its final fruit is stated as Śiva-sāyujya.
