इन्द्रा॑ग्नी अ॒पादि॒यं पूर्वागा॑त् प॒द्वती॑भ्यः । हि॒त्वी शिरो॑ जि॒ह्वया॒ वाव॑द॒च्चर॑त्त्रि॒ᳪशत्प॒दा न्य॑क्रमीत्

Transliteration

índrāgnī apā́d iyáṃ pū́rvāgāt padvátībhyaḥ | hitvī́ śíro jihváyā vā́vadac cárat triṃśát-padā ny àkramīt

Translation

Indra and Agni—this (power) came forth first from the waters, from among the footed; leaving the head behind, with the tongue it spake aloud; moving, the thirty-stepped one strode downward.
