Mantra 45

Rishi: Vājasaneyin tradition (ancestral formulae often treated as traditional rather than individually authored).
Devata: Pitaraḥ (Fathers) and, secondarily, Devas as the intended locus of yajña-ordering.
Chandas: Anuṣṭubh-like (two hemistichs; liturgical).

ये स॑मा॒नाः सम॑नसः पि॒तरो॑ यम॒राज्ये॑ । तेषाँ॑ल्लो॒कः स्व॒धा नमो॑ य॒ज्ञो दे॒वेषु॑ कल्पताम् ॥

yé samānā́ḥ samánasaḥ pitáro yamárājye | téṣāṃl lokáḥ svadhā́ námo yajñó devéṣu kalpatām ||

Ye Fathers, equal and of one mind, in the kingdom of Yama,—to them be world and Svadhā: obeisance! May the sacrifice be duly ordered among the gods.
