पु॒रा क्रू॒रस्य॑ वि॒सृपो॑ विरप्शिन्नुदा॒दाय॑ पृथि॒वीं जी॒वदा॑नुम् । यामैरयँश्च॒न्द्रम॑सि स्व॒धाभि॒स्तामु॒ धीरा॑सो अनु॒दिश्य॑ यजन्ते । प्रोक्ष॑णी॒रासा॑दय द्वि॑ष॒तो ब॒धो॒ऽसि
purā krūrā́sya visṛ́po virapśinn udā́dāya pṛthivī́ṃ jī́vadānum | yā́m airáyaṃś candrámasi svadhā́bhis tā́m u dhī́rāso anudíśya yajante | prókṣaṇīr āsādaya dvíṣato badhó ’si
Of old the creeping, wide-extended one, of the terrible (power), having lifted up the Earth, the living Dānu. Her whom they set in motion in the Moon with Svadhā-invocations,—her the wise, having duly assigned (her office), do worship. Set down the sprinkling-waters: thou art the slaying of the hater.
