Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Īśāna
Significance: Emphasizes that in Kali-yuga, phala-siddhi is accessed through correctly performed prescribed practice; this aligns with the Siddhānta stress on kriyā (right action) as a means for mala-kṣaya and readiness for Śiva’s anugraha.
Cosmic Event: Kali-yuga (age-specific soteriological condition)
It emphasizes niyama (scriptural discipline): when a seeker understands the teaching and performs Shiva-oriented practice as enjoined, the promised spiritual and worldly fruits arise—especially in Kali Yuga where steady, correct practice is the reliable means.
Linga/Saguna Shiva worship in the Vidyeshvara context is fruit-bearing when done according to vidhi—mantra, offering, purity, and devotion aligned with instruction—so the devotee becomes ‘bhāk’ (a rightful partaker) of the worship’s results.
The verse points to performing the prescribed Shiva-sadhana faithfully—such as mantra-japa (notably Panchakshara), Linga-puja with proper offerings, and disciplined observance—because in Kali Yuga results are said to be achieved through such rightly executed practice.
