द्विजेश्वरावतारः
The Manifestation of Shiva as Dvijeśvara
नन्दीश्वर उवाच । एवमस्त्विति गौरीशः प्रसन्नो भक्तवत्सलः । तयोः कामवरन्दत्त्वा क्षणादन्तर्हितोऽभवत्
nandīśvara uvāca | evamastviti gaurīśaḥ prasanno bhaktavatsalaḥ | tayoḥ kāmavarandattvā kṣaṇādantarhito'bhavat
نندییشور نے کہا— “ایومَستو۔” تب گوریش، خوشنود اور بھکتوں پر مہربان، اس جوڑے کو ان کی من چاہی مراد کا ور دے کر پل بھر میں اوجھل ہو گئے۔
Nandishvara (Nandi)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Umāpati
Shakti Form: Gauri
Role: liberating
It highlights Śiva as bhaktavatsala—His grace (anugraha) responds to sincere devotion, granting what supports the devotee’s rightful aspiration, while reminding that the Lord is not bound to a visible form and may withdraw after blessing.
The verse depicts Saguna Śiva (Gaurīśa) personally bestowing a boon, yet His instantaneous disappearance points to His transcendence beyond form—encouraging Linga-worship as a stable, accessible focus for devotion even when divine visions are not present.
The practical takeaway is steady bhakti with mantra-japa—especially the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—and disciplined worship (arcana) of Śiva, trusting that grace may come swiftly even if the Lord is not outwardly seen.
