नन्दीश्वर उवाच । अथ राज्ञी च तत्पत्नी प्रमत्ता कीर्तिमालिनी । भक्त्या प्रसाद्य गिरिशं ययाचे वरमुत्तमम्
nandīśvara uvāca | atha rājñī ca tatpatnī pramattā kīrtimālinī | bhaktyā prasādya giriśaṃ yayāce varamuttamam
نندییشور نے کہا—پھر راجہ کی پتنی، رانی پرمَتّا کیرتی مالِنی نے بھکتی سے گریش (شیو) کو راضی کیا اور ان سے ایک بہترین ور مانگا۔

It highlights a core Shaiva principle: Śiva is moved by bhakti, and His anugraha (grace) becomes the cause for auspicious transformation—here symbolized by the granting of a boon after sincere devotion.
By naming Śiva as Girīśa and emphasizing ‘pleasing Him by devotion,’ the verse supports Saguna-upāsanā—approaching Śiva with form, name, and personal relationship (as Lord who responds to prayer), which in Purāṇic practice commonly includes Liṅga worship.
The takeaway is bhakti-based propitiation—regular Śiva pūjā (often to the Liṅga) with mantra-japa such as the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” offered with humility to seek Śiva’s prasāda (grace).
