द्विजेश्वरावतारः
The Manifestation of Shiva as Dvijeśvara
भद्रायुरुवाच एक एव वरो नाथ यद्भवान्परमेश्वरः । भवतापप्रतप्तस्य मम प्रत्यक्षतां गतः
bhadrāyuruvāca eka eva varo nātha yadbhavānparameśvaraḥ | bhavatāpaprataptasya mama pratyakṣatāṃ gataḥ
Bhadrāyu
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Type: stotra
Role: liberating
It teaches that the highest “boon” is Shiva’s direct grace-filled presence (darśana), which cools the bhava-tāpa—the burning distress of saṁsāra—and turns the soul toward liberation under Pati (Shiva).
The verse highlights Saguna Shiva—Shiva who is approachable and revealable—showing that sincere devotion culminates in tangible nearness; Linga-worship similarly aims at invoking Shiva’s living presence and grace, not mere symbolism.
A practical takeaway is to seek Shiva’s darśana through steady bhakti—daily japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and simple Linga-pūjā with reverence—praying for inner cooling from bhava-tāpa rather than worldly gains.
