मण्डपे दह्यमाने तु सहसोत्थाय संभ्रमात् । मर्कटं मोचयामास सा वेश्या तत्र बन्धनात्
maṇḍape dahyamāne tu sahasotthāya saṃbhramāt | markaṭaṃ mocayāmāsa sā veśyā tatra bandhanāt
جب منڈپ جل رہا تھا تو وہ ویشیا گھبراہٹ میں فوراً اٹھ کھڑی ہوئی اور وہاں بندھے ہوئے بندر کو قید سے آزاد کر دیا۔

Even amid fear and destruction, a compassionate act—freeing another from bondage—reflects the soul’s movement from pasha (bondage) toward moksha, aligning conduct with Shiva’s grace-filled dharma.
Saguna Shiva worship in the Purana is validated not only by ritual but by Shiva-like qualities in action—dayā (compassion) and protection of life—showing that devotion matures into dharmic response in crisis.
Practice japa of the Panchakshara (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with the resolve to loosen inner ‘bindings’—anger, fear, and cruelty—by cultivating compassion (dayā) as a daily vrata-like discipline.
