Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Sthala Purana: Not a Jyotirliṅga account; it is a bhakti-parivarta (conversion/inner turning) episode where Śiva’s grace ripens as steady devotion and bliss.
Significance: Emphasizes that sincere reverence (ādara) and sustained bhakti transform even socially marginal figures; pilgrimage value is ethical-spiritual: cultivating bhāva yields ānanda.
Type: stotra
Role: nurturing
It teaches that sincere reverence and steady Śiva-bhakti can transform any life-condition, producing inner purification and the lived taste of great bliss—an early sign of grace leading toward liberation.
The verse emphasizes devotion to Śiva in a personal, accessible form (Saguna Śiva), where reverent practice and heartfelt turning toward Him naturally mature into constant bhakti—often expressed in Purāṇic context through Liṅga-worship and remembrance.
The takeaway is nitya-bhakti: daily remembrance of Śiva through japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and simple reverent worship, cultivating steady devotion that ripens into inner joy.
