FAQs

It highlights “tejas” born of tapas and divine favor: worldly authority is naturally subdued when confronted with the spiritual luminosity that arises from disciplined austerity and Shaiva grace.

Such radiance is presented in Shaiva narratives as the fruit of devotion to Saguna Shiva—worship that purifies the inner being so that Shiva’s power (śakti) manifests as spiritual authority rather than mere social power.

The implied takeaway is steady tapas supported by Shiva-upāsanā—japa of the Panchākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and regular application of Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) as disciplines that cultivate inner purity and spiritual “tejas.”
