It teaches that every form of greatness—splendor, prosperity, and strength—is ultimately Shiva’s tejas (divine radiance) appearing through beings, guiding the devotee from ego-based admiration to God-centered recognition and humility.
The Liṅga signifies Shiva as the supreme source from whom all manifestations arise; this verse frames worldly excellence as Saguna expressions of that one source, encouraging the devotee to trace all power back to Shiva and worship Him as the inner ground of all forms.
A practical takeaway is to meditate that all perceived power is Shiva’s—repeat the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) while offering bilva leaves or applying tripuṇḍra-bhasma, cultivating devotion and non-egoic reverence.
