The verse teaches that true Śaiva orientation is saṃsāra-vimukhatā (turning away from worldly bondage) and ekānta-vairāgya (one-pointed dispassion). From a Shaiva Siddhānta lens, such steadiness loosens pāśa (bondage) and directs the soul toward Pati (Śiva), making all other karma-driven pursuits secondary or abandoned.
It supports ekānta-bhakti—single-minded commitment to Śiva as the personal Lord (saguṇa upāsanā). Linga-worship is a concrete discipline for focusing the mind on Śambhu, cutting distraction and reinforcing renunciation so that one’s actions become Śiva-centered rather than worldly.
Adopt ekānta practice: daily Linga-pūjā with mantra-japa (especially the Pañcākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), accompanied by a lifestyle of vairāgya. As supportive Śaiva observances, wear rudrākṣa and apply tripuṇḍra (bhasma) to cultivate remembrance of Śiva and detachment from saṃsāra.
