This is a colophon marking the completion of a chapter; spiritually, it signals a pause for reflection (manana) on the preceding teaching or narrative, encouraging the listener to assimilate the Shaiva purport before proceeding.
Though it contains no direct instruction on Liṅga worship, it frames the Satī Khaṇḍa narration within the Rudra Saṃhitā—where devotion to Saguna Śiva (Śiva with attributes) is taught through sacred stories that cultivate bhakti and right understanding.
As an end-of-chapter marker, it suggests a brief recitation pause: offer a mental salutation to Śiva, and contemplate the chapter’s teaching; if one follows Purāṇic practice, conclude with “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” before continuing.
