ویر بھدر نے کہا—تم سب اپنی نادانی کے سبب سزا لینے کے لیے یہاں آئے ہو۔ میں وہ سزا دیتا ہوں؛ میرے قریب آؤ۔
Vīrabhadra
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Vīrabhadra
Role: destructive
The verse highlights the Shaiva principle that arrogance and disrespect toward Śiva and His devotees bring immediate karmic consequence; Vīrabhadra functions as the instrument of Rudra’s dharma-restoring power, curbing adharma born of ego.
It underscores Saguna Śiva’s protective and corrective aspect: the Lord is compassionate to devotees yet fierce toward sacrilege. Linga-worship is framed as reverence toward Śiva’s presence; violating that reverence invites the corrective force represented here by Vīrabhadra.
A practical takeaway is to cultivate humility and reverence through daily Panchākṣarī japa ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya") and devotional discipline; the episode also supports maintaining Śaiva purity practices such as Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and Rudrākṣa as reminders of surrender to Śiva.
