The verse identifies true devotion (bhakti) as a grace-given power that can grant both bhukti (rightful worldly fulfillment) and mukti (liberation), emphasizing that liberation is ultimately accessible through Shiva’s anugraha (divine grace).
By presenting bhakti as Shiva’s own gift and as “ninefold,” the verse supports Saguna Shiva worship—such as Linga-sevā, mantra-japa, and pūjā—as practical forms of devotion through which Shiva’s grace matures the soul toward mukti.
Practice steady Shiva-bhakti through daily pūjā and mantra-japa (especially the Panchākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), offering actions and intentions to Shiva so devotion becomes “sulabhā” (easy) by grace.
