ब्रह्मोवाच । सम्यक्कारुणिकस्यैव मुने ते विचिकित्सितम् । यदहं नोदितस्सौम्य शिवलीलानुवर्णने
brahmovāca | samyakkāruṇikasyaiva mune te vicikitsitam | yadahaṃ noditassaumya śivalīlānuvarṇane
برہما نے کہا—اے مُنی، تیرا یہ شک واقعی رحم دل کے شایانِ شان ہے۔ اے نرم خو، اب تک میں شیو لیلا کے بیان پر آمادہ نہیں ہوا تھا۔

The verse sanctifies sincere inquiry: a compassionate seeker’s doubt becomes the doorway to śravaṇa (devotional listening) of Śiva-līlā, which in Śaiva Siddhānta is a purifying means that turns the mind toward Pati (Śiva) and loosens pāśa (bondage).
