Hymn to Devī Yogānidrā and the Manifestation of Caṇḍikā
durgovāca | yaduktaṃ bhavatā brahman samastaṃ satyameva tat | madṛte mohayitrīha śaṃkarasya na vidyate
Durgā (Devī/Satī as the Divine Power)
Tattva Level: pasha
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Type: stotra
Shakti Form: Durgā
Role: teaching
It affirms that the power of delusion (moha/māyā) is not independent; it is personified as Devī and functions within divine sovereignty, highlighting that liberation comes by recognizing the Supreme Lord (Pati) beyond bewilderment.
Linga/Saguna Śiva worship trains the mind to anchor in Śaṅkara as the stable Reality; by devotion and right understanding, the devotee crosses the deluding tendencies that Devī here identifies as her own power.
A practical takeaway is japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with the intention to overcome moha, supported by Shaiva disciplines like Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and Rudrākṣa as reminders of Śiva-tattva.
