اے دیوتاؤ، تم کیلاش جاؤ اور شنکر کو خوش کرو۔ انہیں جلد ہی ہمالیہ کے گھر کی طرف روانہ ہونے پر آمادہ کرو۔
Suta Goswami (narrating the Purāṇic dialogue and instruction as part of the Parvatī-khaṇḍa narrative)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Umāpati
Sthala Purana: Kailāsa is invoked as Śiva’s abode; the devas are instructed to please Śaṅkara and urge him toward Himālaya’s home—setting the stage for the Pārvatī-related narrative arc (marriage/union themes).
Significance: Kailāsa-darśana is traditionally held to grant purification and Śiva’s favor; here, ‘santoṣayata’ highlights propitiation as the means to restore cosmic harmony.
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: nurturing
Offering: pushpa
It highlights that divine outcomes unfold through Śiva’s grace when the Devas approach Him with reverence and devotion—pleasing Śaṅkara signifies aligning with the Lord (Pati) who loosens bondage (pāśa) and guides beings toward auspicious order (dharma).
The verse reflects Saguna-bhakti: the Devas seek to please Śaṅkara personally at Kailāsa, showing that devotees may approach Śiva in a relatable, worshipful form—just as in Liṅga worship, where devotion invokes the Lord’s compassionate presence and action.
The practical takeaway is to “santoṣayata śaṅkaram”—please Śiva through daily bhakti: japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), offering bilva leaves, and maintaining purity with Tripuṇḍra/bhasma and Rudrākṣa where appropriate.
