It highlights satya (truthfulness) and dṛḍha-niścaya (firm resolve): spiritual attainment in Shaiva tradition matures when one’s vow is unwavering and aligned to dharma and devotion toward Shiva.
A firm vow is the inner support of Saguna Shiva worship—whether one worships the Linga through pūjā, mantra, or vrata, the fruit depends on steady intention and truthful commitment rather than mere words.
Adopt a vrata with truthfulness—daily japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and disciplined observances (such as purity, restraint, and regular worship) performed with unwavering resolve.
