Ghuśmeśa-jyotirliṅga-māhātmya
The Greatness of the Ghuśmeśa Jyotirlinga
सुधर्मोवाच । निर्मितं चेश्वरेणैव कथं चैवान्यथा भवेत् । आशां त्यज प्रिये त्वं च परिचर्य्यां कुरु प्रभोः
sudharmovāca | nirmitaṃ ceśvareṇaiva kathaṃ caivānyathā bhavet | āśāṃ tyaja priye tvaṃ ca paricaryyāṃ kuru prabhoḥ
سُدھرم نے کہا—“یہ تو خود ایشور نے بنایا ہے، پھر اس کے سوا کیسے ہو سکتا ہے؟ اے پیاری، امید چھوڑ دو اور پربھو شِو کی خدمت و پرِچریا کرو۔”

Significance: Teaches niṣkāma-paricaryā (service without expectation) as the correct response to divine ordinance—aligning the paśu with Pati’s will, preparing for grace.

It teaches īśvara-niyati (the Lord’s sovereign ordering): what Shiva establishes is perfect and purposeful; the seeker should drop anxious expectations and take refuge in bhakti expressed as steady service.
Linga/Saguna worship is approached with trust in Shiva’s will—rather than bargaining for outcomes—so paricaryā (ritual attendance, offerings, and reverent conduct) becomes the primary expression of devotion.
Practice paricaryā: daily Shiva-pūjā with mantra-japa (especially the Panchākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), offering water/bilva, and maintaining an attitude of surrender without expectation of specific results.
