धन्योऽयं कृतकृत्योयं यन्नाम्ना शंकरस्स्वयम् । स्थितश्च जगतां नाथः पावयञ्जगतीतलम्
dhanyo'yaṃ kṛtakṛtyoyaṃ yannāmnā śaṃkarassvayam | sthitaśca jagatāṃ nāthaḥ pāvayañjagatītalam
یہ مقام بابرکت ہے، یہ کمال کو پہنچا، کیونکہ شنکر خود اپنے نام کے ساتھ یہاں مقیم ہیں۔ جگت کے ناتھ پرمیشور زمین کی سطح کو پاک کرتے ہوئے یہاں ٹھہرے ہیں۔

Sthala Purana: The kṣetra is declared blessed and ‘fulfilled’ because Śaṅkara Himself abides there by His own renowned Name; as Jagannātha He sanctifies the earth—summarizing the theological meaning of Jyotirliṅga presence as ongoing divine immanence.
Significance: Assures pilgrims that the Lord’s abiding presence purifies the land and the worshipper; emphasizes kṣetra-sevā as a direct encounter with the Pati who uplifts paśus from pāśa.

It declares that a sacred place becomes supremely blessed because Shiva is truly present there—His very Name signifies His living, purifying presence, making the land a tirtha that uplifts devotees toward liberation.
In the Kotirudra context of Jyotirlingas, Shiva is approached as Saguna—graciously established in a holy site—so devotees can take darshana, worship the Linga, and experience His sanctifying power in the world.
Practice nāma-smaraṇa (remembrance of Shiva’s Name) along with Jyotirlinga-style worship—offering water, bilva leaves, and reciting the Panchakshara “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—with the attitude that Shiva is tangibly present and purifying.
