Andhakeśvara-liṅga Māhātmya and Śiva’s Subjugation of Andhaka
andhakeśaṃ ca talliṃgaṃ nityaṃ yaḥ pūjayennaraḥ | ṣaṇmāsājjāyate tasya vāṃchāsiddhirna saṃśayaḥ
جو شخص اندھکیش نامی اس لِنگ کی روزانہ پوجا کرتا ہے، اس کی مراد چھ ماہ میں پوری ہو جاتی ہے—اس میں کوئی شک نہیں۔

Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Sthala Purana: Phalaśruti for the local liṅga 'Andhakeśa': daily worship yields vāñchā-siddhi within six months. The name preserves the site-memory of Andhaka’s episode and Śiva’s abiding presence as liṅga.
Significance: Promises quick fruit for steady nitya-pūjā; also implies that disciplined devotion (caryā/kriyā) becomes a channel for Śiva’s anugraha.
Type: stotra
Role: nurturing
Offering: pushpa
It presents the Andhakeśa Liṅga as a potent focus for steady bhakti, teaching that consistent daily worship ripens quickly into siddhi—Shiva’s grace manifesting as the fulfillment of a rightful inner aim.
The Liṅga is Saguna Shiva’s approachable emblem—form through which the formless (Nirguṇa) Lord is worshiped. The verse emphasizes nitya-pūjā (regular practice) as the means by which the devotee becomes fit to receive Shiva’s blessings.
Daily Liṅga pūjā: offering water, bilva leaves, and mantra-japa (especially the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with purity and sincerity; the key instruction is consistency for a sustained period.
