The Slaying of Indrajit
ताभ्यांतुधनुषिश्रेष्ठेसंसितौसायकोत्तमौ ।।।।विकृष्यमाणेवीराभ्यांभृशंजज्वलतुःश्रिया ।
tābhyāṃ tu dhanuṣī śreṣṭhe saṃsitau sāyakottamau | vikṛṣyamāṇe vīrābhyāṃ bhṛśaṃ jajvalatuḥ śriyā ||
پھر اُن دونوں برگزیدہ کمانوں پر دو نہایت اُتم تیر چڑھائے گئے؛ اور جب اُن دو شجاعوں نے چِلّہ کھینچا تو وہ تیر اپنی درخشاں شان سے بھڑک اُٹھے۔
The two best bows of both the heroes together, being powerful, shone with splendour when drawn with bowstring.
Dharma is linked with 'tejas' used responsibly: power and brilliance are admirable when directed by righteous intent and proper conduct.
Both combatants nock their finest arrows and draw, marking the escalation toward a decisive exchange.
Udyama (determined effort) and śaurya (heroic courage) expressed through readiness and composure.
