निकुम्भिला-यज्ञविघ्नोपदेशः
Counsel to Disrupt the Nikumbhilā Rite
ससैन्यास्तत्रगच्छामोयावत्तन्नसमाप्यते ।।।।त्यजेमंनरशार्दूलमिथ्यासन्तापगतम् ।सीदतेहिबलंसर्वंदृष्टवात्वांशोककर्शितम् ।।।।
sa-sainyās tatra gacchāmo yāvat tan na samāpyate |
tyaja imaṃ naraśārdūla mithyāsantāpagatam |
sīdate hi balaṃ sarvaṃ dṛṣṭvā tvāṃ śokakarśitam ||
آؤ ہم لشکر سمیت وہاں چلیں، اس سے پہلے کہ وہ کرم پورا ہو۔ اے مردوں کے شیر! اس جھوٹے رنج کو چھوڑ دے؛ تجھے غم سے نڈھال دیکھ کر سارا لشکر دل شکستہ ہو جاتا ہے۔
"O tiger among men! We shall go there with the army before the completion of the sacrificial ritual. Give up false agony and the cause of sorrow. Seeing you all the troops are distressed."
A leader’s dharma includes emotional steadiness for the sake of dependents; private grief must not paralyze righteous duty when others’ lives and the cause of justice depend on him.
Vibhīṣaṇa urges immediate action to stop Indrajit’s ritual and counsels Rāma to overcome despair that is spreading through the troops.
Leadership under pressure—fortitude (dhairya) and responsibility (kartavya-buddhi) in the face of fear and sorrow.
