मकराक्षवधः
The Slaying of Makarākṣa
दृष्टवातेराक्षसास्सर्वेमकराक्षस्यपातनम् ।।।।लङ्कामेवप्रधावन्तरामबाणभयार्दिताः ।
dṛṣṭvā te rākṣasāḥ sarve makarākṣasya pātanam | laṅkām eva pradhāvanta rāma-bāṇa-bhayārditāḥ ||
جب اُن سب راکشسوں نے مکاراکش کے گرنے کو دیکھا تو رام کے بانوں کے خوف سے لرزتے ہوئے سیدھے لنکا ہی کی طرف بھاگ نکلے۔
Khara's son fell dead by the force of Rama's like arrow and the Devatas rejoiced seeing the night ranger shattered like a mountain struck by diamond bolt.।। ityārṣēvālmīkīyēśrīmadrāmāyaṇēādikāvyēyuddhakāṇḍēēkōnāśītitamassargaḥ ।।This is the end of the seventy ninth sarga of the Yuddha Kanda of the first epic the holy Ramayana composed by sage Valmiki.
Adharma loses morale when confronted by steadfast righteousness; fear arises when unjust power realizes it cannot prevail against truth-backed duty.
After Makarākṣa is slain, the remaining rākṣasas retreat in panic to Laṅkā.
Rāma’s deterrent strength—his disciplined power protects by preventing further harm.
