The Slaying of Atikāya
तेऽर्दितांबाणवर्षेणभिन्नगात्राःप्लवङ्गमाः ।न शेकुरतिकायस्यप्रतिकर्तुंमहारणे ।।।।
te 'rditāṃ bāṇa-varṣeṇa bhinna-gātrāḥ plavaṅgamāḥ | na śekuḥ atikāyasya pratikartuṃ mahā-raṇe || 6.71.42 ||
اَتِکایہ کی تیروں کی موسلا دھار بارش سے ستائے ہوئے پلَوَنگم—جن کے اعضاء چھلنی اور بدن زخمی تھے—اُس عظیم رَن میں اُس کے مقابل کوئی مؤثر مزاحمت نہ کر سکے۔
