Angada’s Duel
निमेषान्तरमात्रेणअङ्गदःकपिकुञ्जरः ।।6.54.33।।उदतिष्ठतदीप्ताक्षोदण्डाहतइवोरगः ।
nimeṣāntaramātreṇa aṅgadaḥ kapikuñjaraḥ |
udatiṣṭhata dīptākṣo daṇḍāhata ivoragaḥ |
پلک جھپکنے بھر میں، بندروں میں ہاتھی کے مانند انگد، دہکتے ہوئے دیدوں کے ساتھ یوں اٹھ کھڑا ہوا جیسے لاٹھی سے مارا گیا سانپ۔
Angada, the elephant among the monkeys rose up in the mere twinkling of eyes, like a serpent struck by staff glowing in his eyes.
Dharma here is protective courage: quick recovery and readiness to defend the righteous cause, without surrendering to despair even when wounded.
After dropping to his knees from exhaustion, Angada instantly rises again, energized and fierce, to continue the fight.
Utsāha (indomitable spirit) and śaurya (heroic bravery).
