tam āpatantaṃ dhūmrākṣo gadām udyamya vīryavān | vinardamānaḥ sahasā hanūmantam abhidravat ||6.52.33||
اُسے یوں لپکتا دیکھ کر، زورآور دھومرآکش نے اپنی گدا بلند کی؛ پھر دہاڑتا ہوا بےتابی سے ہنومان کی طرف جھپٹ پڑا۔
Lifting his mace on seeing Hanuman, heroic and brave Dhumraksha darted on Hanuman, roaring like a lion.
The verse illustrates the escalation inherent in adharma-driven aggression—force meeting force—underscoring why dharma values self-control and right intention.
Dhūmrākṣa counters Hanumān’s charge by lifting his mace and rushing to strike him.
For Dhūmrākṣa: audacity and martial confidence (though not necessarily righteous); for the scene: intensity of single combat.
