शरबन्धनविलापः
The Lament under the Net of Arrows
अङ्गदंतुपुरस्कत्यससैन्यस्सपरिच्छदम् ।सागरंतरसुग्रीव नीलेनचनलेनच ।।6.49.24।।
aṅgadaṃ tu puraskṛtya sa sainyaḥ sa paricchadam |
sāgaraṃ tara sugrīva nīlena ca nalena ca ||6.49.24||
اَنگد کو آگے رکھ کر، اپنی فوج اور تمام سازوسامان سمیت، اے سُگریو! نیل اور نل کے ساتھ سمندر پار واپس چلے جاؤ۔
"O King of Bears! King of Golangulas! Difficult action has been done by you and others in war. I am pleased with Hanumantha's action."
Dharma involves prudent strategy and protection of the community: withdrawal to preserve lives and resources can be righteous when it serves the larger mission.
Rāma directs Sugrīva to regroup by crossing the ocean, organizing leadership (Aṅgada) and key engineers/warriors (Nīla, Nala).
Strategic wisdom (nīti) coupled with care for one’s allies.
