The Ascent of Suvela and the First Full View of Laṅkā
ततस्सरामोहरिवाहिनीपतिर्विभीषणेनप्रतिनन्द्यसत्कृतः ।सलक्ष्मणोयूथपयूथसम्वृतस्सुवेलपृष्ठेन्यवसद्यथासुखम् ।।।।
tatas sa rāmo harivāhinīpatir
vibhīṣaṇena pratinandya satkṛtaḥ |
sa lakṣmaṇo yūthapayūthasamvṛtas
suvelapṛṣṭhe nyavasad yathāsukham ||6.38.19||
پھر رام، جو وानر لشکر کے سردار تھے، وبھیषण کی جانب سے تعظیم و تکریم اور خیرمقدم پाकर، لکشمن کے ساتھ اور یوتھپتیوں کے جتھوں میں گھِرے ہوئے، سوویل کے دامن پر اپنی مرضی کے مطابق آسودہ ہو کر ٹھہر گئے۔
Thereafter, Rama, the leader of Vanara troops happily rested on Suvela peak after Vibheeshana and Lakshmana duly offered their prayers.।। ityārṣēvālmīkīyēśrīmadrāmāyaṇēādikāvyēyuddhakāṇḍēaṣṭātriṅśassargaḥ ।।This is the end of the thirty eighth sarga of Yuddha Kanda of the first epic the holy Ramayana composed by sage Valmiki.
Dharma is expressed through rightful alliance and respectful conduct: Vibhīṣaṇa’s truthful turning toward righteousness is met by honour and acceptance, stabilizing the moral order within the war.
Night has come; Rāma’s forces have reached Suvela. Vibhīṣaṇa formally welcomes and honours Rāma, and the leaders settle to rest before the next stage of battle.
Rāma’s composed leadership and Vibhīṣaṇa’s satya-oriented loyalty to dharma over clan—both shown through orderly reception and calm encampment.
