सागरप्रशमनम् / The Pacification of the Ocean and the Building of Nala’s Bridge
आप्लवन्तःप्लवन्तश्चगर्जन्तश्चप्लवङ्गमाः ।।6.22.75।।तदच्नित्यमसह्यंचह्यद्भुतंरोमहर्षणम् ।ददृशुस्सर्वभूतानिसागरेसेतुबन्धनम् ।।622.76।।
āplavantaḥ plavantaś ca garjantaś ca plavaṅgamāḥ | tad acintyam asahyaṃ ca hy adbhutaṃ romaharṣaṇam | dadṛśuḥ sarvabhūtāni sāgare setubandhanam ||
پلونگم ویر چھلانگیں لگاتے، کودتے اور خوشی سے گرجتے تھے؛ اور سبھی بھوتوں نے سمندر میں سیتو بندھن کو دیکھا—ایسا کام جو ناقابلِ تصور، گویا ناممکن، عجیب و غریب اور رعب انگیز تھا، جس سے رونگٹے کھڑے ہو جائیں۔
The monkeys were jumping about here and there roaring (in joy). All creatures witnessed the bridge that was inconceivable, marvellous, thrilling, and impossible to build constructed in the sea.
Dharma is strengthened by shared commitment—when many unite for a just aim, even the “unthinkable” becomes achievable.
As the bridge is completed/being completed, the Vānaras celebrate, while the whole world is portrayed as witnessing the feat.
