सीतासमीपगमनम् / Sītā Brought Near to Rāma

यन्निमित्तोऽयमारम्बःकर्मणांयःफलोदयः ।तांदेवींशोकसन्तप्तांद्रष्टुमर्हसिमैथिलीम् ।।।।
yan-nimitto ’yam ārambhaḥ karmaṇāṃ yaḥ phalodayaḥ |
tāṃ devīṃ śoka-santaptāṃ draṣṭum arhasi maithilīm ||
جس کے سبب یہ سارا آغاز ہوا اور جس کے لیے اعمال کا پھل اب ظاہر ہوا—اس غم سے جھلسی ہوئی دیوی میتھلی کو دیکھنا تمہارے لیے مناسب ہے۔
Vibheeshana, having spoken that way, Vaidehi said to the Lord of Rakshasas that she would like to see him without having a bath.
Dharma here is compassionate responsibility: once a righteous undertaking has succeeded, one should honor its purpose—relieving the suffering of the innocent (Sītā) and acknowledging the human cost of the conflict.
After the victory, Vibhīṣaṇa urges Rāma to see Sītā, emphasizing that she is the very reason the campaign began and has now reached its intended outcome.
Vibhīṣaṇa’s virtue of wise counsel and empathy—he frames the victory’s meaning as the restoration of Sītā and the easing of her grief.
