Ravana’s Shakti Javelin and Lakshmana’s Wounding
ततश्चक्राणिनिष्पेतुर्भास्वराणिमहान्ति च ।कार्मुकाद्भीमवेगस्यदशग्रीवस्यधीमतः ।।।।
tataś cakrāṇi niṣpetur bhāsvarāṇi mahānti ca |
kārmukād bhīmavegasya daśagrīvasya dhīmataḥ ||
پھر دانا دَشگریو (راون) کے ہولناک تیز کمان سے بڑے بڑے درخشاں چکر-ہتھیار نکل کر لپکے۔
Thereafter, brilliant discus of the Sun God, issued forth from wise Ravana's bow at a terrific speed.
Power and skill are morally neutral unless guided by dharma; the verse foregrounds sheer capability, inviting reflection on rightful vs wrongful deployment.
As part of the Saurāstra sequence, discus-like weapons emerge from Rāvaṇa’s bow at extreme speed.
Rāvaṇa’s tactical prowess (dhīmat) is noted, though framed within an adharma-driven conflict.
