Ravana’s Shakti Javelin and Lakshmana’s Wounding
एवमुक्त्वाशितैर्बाणैस्तप्तकाञ्चनभूषणैः ।।।।आजघानरणेरामोदशग्रीवंसमाहितः ।
evam uktvā śitair bāṇais taptakāñcanabhūṣaṇaiḥ |
ājaghāna raṇe rāmo daśagrīvaṃ samāhitaḥ ||
یوں کہہ کر، رام نے یکسو اور ثابت قدم ہو کر، تپتے سونے سے آراستہ تیز تیروں سے رَن میں دشگریو (راون) پر ضرب لگائی۔
Having spoken in that manner, Rama collected sharp shafts embellished with shining gold ornaments to strike the ten headed Rakshasa.
Dharma in warfare includes disciplined action: Rāma fights with composure (samāhita), showing that righteous force must be governed by self-control.
Immediately after his declaration, Rāma engages Rāvaṇa directly, releasing well-prepared arrows in the ongoing duel.
Samādhāna (focused composure) and martial competence—strength guided by clarity rather than rage.
