Sita’s Counsel on Honor, Rescue-Strategy, and Hanuman’s Reassurance
ततो मया वाग्भिरदीनभाषिणा शिवाभिरिष्टाभिरभिप्रसादिता।जगाम शान्तिं मम मैथिलात्मजा तवापि शोकेन तदाभिपीडिता।।।।
tato mayā vāgbhir adīnabhāṣiṇā śivābhir iṣṭābhir abhiprasāditā |
jagāma śāntiṁ mama maithilātmajā tavāpi śokena tadābhipīḍitā ||
تب میں نے اپنے کلمات سے—نرم لہجے والے، مبارک اور دل کو بھانے والے—میتھلا کی دختر کو تسلی دی؛ وہ بھی تمہارے غم سے اسی وقت دبی ہوئی تھی، اور اسے سکون نصیب ہوا۔
'How will the vanaras and bears cross this great, impassable ocean? How will the princes Rama and Lakshmna be able to cross it?
Dharma includes satya spoken with kindness: truthful news delivered through gentle, auspicious speech becomes a healing act rather than mere information.
Hanumān reports that after he spoke reassuringly, Sītā—grieving for Rāma too—became calm and composed.
Hanumān’s compassionate communication (hitavākya) and Sītā’s regained steadiness.
