सुन्दरकाण्डे अष्टपञ्चाशः सर्गः
हनुमद्वृत्तान्तकथनम्, सीताभिज्ञान-प्रदानम्, लङ्कादाह-वर्णनम्
यद्यन्यथा भवेदेतद्द्वौ मासौ जीवितं मम।न मां द्रक्ष्यति काकुत्स्थो म्रिये साहमनाथवत्।।।।
yady anyathā bhaved etad dvau māsau jīvitaṃ mama | na māṃ drakṣyati kākutstho mriye sāham anāthavat ||
“اگر یہ بات اس کے برخلاف ہوئی تو میری زندگی کے صرف دو مہینے باقی ہیں۔ کاکُتستھ (رام) پھر مجھے نہ دیکھ پائے گا؛ میں یوں مر جاؤں گی جیسے کوئی بے سہارا و بے محافظ ہو۔”
'Otherwise with none to protect me, I will live only for two months.I will die like an orphan and he will not see me'.
