The Ogresses’ Threats to Sita and Her Vow of Fidelity

मानुषी मानुषस्यैव भार्यात्वं बहुमन्यसे।प्रत्याहर मनो रामान्न त्वं जातु भविष्यसि।।5.24.3।।

pratyāhara mano rāmān na tvaṃ jātu bhaviṣyasi || 5.24.3 ||

تو تو ایک انسانی عورت ہے، پھر بھی ایک معمولی انسان کی بیوی ہونا بڑی قدر سے چاہتی ہے۔ اے سیتا! رام سے اپنا دل پھیر لے، ورنہ تو ہرگز زندہ نہ رہے گی۔
