Commencement of the Ocean-Crossing
lāṅgūlacakreṇa mahān śukladaṃṣṭro 'nilātmajaḥ |
vyarocata mahāprājñaḥ pariveṣīva bhāskaraḥ ||
With his white teeth and curled up tail, the wise son of the Wind-god looked splendid like the halo of the Sun-god.
Dharma is wisdom-guided power: the verse pairs physical splendour with mahā-prajñā, teaching that true strength serves truth with discernment.
The narrator concludes this sequence of flight-imagery by portraying Hanumān’s radiance like the Sun with a halo.
Prajñā (intelligent judgment) united with tejas—capability directed by insight, central to Hanumān’s role as Rāma’s messenger.
